Laura lives and works in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England.
Her work expresses the energy, textures, and patterns found in the natural world. She works primarily in watercolour, coloured pencil, and ink, and paints from plein air sketches, impressions and memories, and her own photographs. Laura is a Wildlife Trust volunteer and a member of a BMC mountaineering club.
Laura learned drawing and painting from private instructors, many of whom blend Asian and Western approaches. She has completed short courses in art in London at Central St Martins, the Royal Watercolour Society, and Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours; the O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico; and the Accademia d’Arte Firenze.
